Cominterwine, a wine trading company, exports worldwide vinegar products, concentrated must, bulk wine and other complementary products. The company has issued a report on the trends regarding three main world wine markets.
In 2018, German wine imports hit an all-time high, reaching € 2.67 billion. Compared to other exporting countries, New Zealand is growing steadily (but is still in a secondary position). South Africa has a leading role. In Germany, imports from the USA and Chile are shrinking.
US imports from Chile, Australia, Argentina and Germany US are decreasing sharply, while imports from New Zealand (+6%), Portugal and France are growing firmly (+8%).
Russian imports from Portugal are increasing steadily, while imports from Ukraine, Spain and South Africa are declining.
